The company history starts in the Frangoklisia area, Limassol in 1955, with Mr. Takis Marangos – carpenter by profession – setting up a small workshop engaged in the manufacture of wooden doors, cabinets, kitchens and roofing. In spite of many difficulties, with hard work and honesty as his shield, Mr. Takis Marangos began to create a big circle of clients. Â The circle continued to expand through recommendations based on his good name, and he subsequently transferred to a bigger workshop in the Mesa Geitonia area.
In 1979 after the decision of his children to become involved in the business, he decided to form a company called Takis K. Marangos & Sons Ltd.
A year later, the company moved to a new factory with contemporary machinery in the Ayios Athanasios Industrial Area.
The company has continued to prosper, and is constantly expanding its product range. In the process, following an increase in turnover and after they realised the need for more effective organization, the company decided to enlarge its facilities. Another reason was to create space for new, state-of-the-art equipment, since the international trends were demanding the full automation of woodworking.
Quality of work, consistency in service, and reliability ensure large deals with significant names of the commercial and hotel sector, as well as with important personalities of the island, strengthening the good reputation of the company more and more.
During the 2000s and on the occasion of the invasion of imported kitchens into the market, the trend of creating showrooms began. Consequently, Takis K. Marangos & Sons Ltd – always at the forefront of developments – created a space to exhibit samples of the wide range of its products for the convenience of the public, while expanding its office premises.
Six decades after the foundation of the company, with Mr. Marangos’ children in charge and with a second consecutive expansion of its showroom, Takis K. Marangos & Sons Ltd has established itself as one of the leading companies in the woodworking industry. With optimism, enthusiasm and efficient organisation, and with the third generation of the family entering decisively into the business, the company anticipates a bright future by stepping firmly on the foundations of its long tradition.
